Discover Cagliari, a city overlooking the Gulf of Angels and a treasure trove of wonderful treasures scattered throughout the urban fabric. The four historic districts of the Sardinian capital are a veritable open-air museum that will tell you the city's history from Roman settlement to the modern age.
During the tour you will admire the Palazzo del Consiglio Regionale, which, in the square outside, houses sculptures by Sardinian artist Costantino Nivola, some works in marble and travertine that guard the cultural identity of the 'Island.
Next you will reach the Marina district, which is home to the Church of Sant'Eulalia under which is an important archaeological site with several Roman artifacts.
You will then head to the Castello district, passing by the Crypt of the Holy Sepulchre discovered in the last two decades. You will also walk through the typical streets of the neighborhood, full of history and bizarre stories, and reach the Cathedral of Santa Maria, an architectural jewel built in several stages, and the Royal Palace, once the residence of the viceroys first and the Savoy dynasty later.
