Hotel Cala Caterina

Position

The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful corners of the south-eastern coast of Sardinia, a few minutes from the village of Villasimius (5 km) and close to the new modern and equipped marina (1 km). It is about 65 km from the centre of Cagliari.

Beach

100 meters from a small sandy bay surrounded by rocks and stones, frequented mainly by hotel guests and also enjoyable from the adjacent lawn, reached by crossing the hotel gardens. Free umbrellas, sunbeds and beach towels are provided.

Structure and services

Built in typical Mediterranean style enriched by long and shady colonnades and set like a precious stone between the green of the Mediterranean maquis and the crystal blue of the sea, the hotel blends perfectly with the surrounding natural environment, offering its guests all the charm and magic of the island. The secluded location, with the large park, that in a few steps leads to the sea, makes the hotel a true oasis of peace and tranquillity. It has a large lobby, an elegant restaurant with local and international cuisine, a bar with outdoor loggia overlooking the pool and the surrounding garden, the Spa, a lift, free Wi-Fi in public areas, and unattended parking. Pets are allowed on request and for a fee, only in the Prestige sea view room on the ground floor. In Villasimius, there are shops, restaurants and all the needed services.

The guest areas

48 rooms, characterized by large spaces with a private patio in the garden on the ground floor, and some balconies with an extraordinary sea view.  Furnished in the typical island style, with care and elegance, the rooms are equipped with every comfort, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, minibar, safe, bathroom with bath or shower and hairdryer.  Mediterranean style, inlaid headboards, antique wooden bedside tables, batik and paintings that decorate and give colour to the rooms. All rooms are characterised by comfort and well-being. The rooms are divided into the following types:

Comfort Garden Side (about 25 sqm): double rooms, with the possibility of the 3rd bed or cot on request, located both on the ground floor with patio and on the first floor with balcony, totally renovated bathroom with shower, front garden side or back. It can accommodate 2-3 people.

Prestige Sea View (about 25 sqm): double rooms, with the possibility of the 3rd bed or cot on request, located on the ground floor or on the first floor, totally renovated bathroom with shower or bath, sea view. It can accommodate 2-3 people.

Deluxe Sea View (about 30 sqm): double rooms, with the possibility of the 3 bed or cot on request, located on the first floor with a balcony, a fully renovated bathroom with shower, beautiful sea view. t can accommodate 2-3 people.

Junior Suite Partial Sea View (about 40 sqm): on the ground floor with partial sea view, composed of a double bedroom and double sofa bed, completely renovated, bathroom with shower, kettle and coffee machine, private gazebo on the garden. It can accommodate 2-4 people and 1 cot.

Suite Garden Side (about  65 sqm): on the ground floor garden side, consisting of a double bedroom and separate living room with a double sofa bed. Completely renovated. A bathroom with a shower and a Jacuzzi in the living room. There is a kettle and coffee maker, a private gazebo with two sunbeds on the 2nd row on the park sea view. It can accommodate 2-4 people and 1 cot.

Family Suite Sea View (65 sqm): on the first floor with a sea view. It is composed of a double room, a separate living room with a double sofa bed and interconnecting doors. Totally renovated. A private gazebo with two sunbeds on the 2nd row on the park sea view is included. 1 bathroom with shower, 1 half bath and a wide shower in the bedroom, coffee machine and kettle.  It can accommodate up to 4 adults and 1 infant in a cot. 

Spa Suite Sea View (about 65 sqm): is located on the first floor with a wide terrace of 20 sqm and a delightful sea view. It is composed of a double room, an open living room with a sofa bed and a single bed (for children 3-11 years old). Totally renovated. A steam room, 2 bathrooms one with waterfall bathtub, coffee machine and kettle. f private gazebo with two sunbeds on the 1st row on the park sea view. It can accommodate up to 4 adults, 1 child and 1 infant in a cot (on request).

A holiday to taste

Half board is provided with a breakfast buffet and dinner served at the table with a gourmet menu (drinks excluded), based on appetizers, first, second, dessert - a buffet of fruit and vegetables in the season. For lunch possibility (for a fee) of a light lunch or snack at the bar.

Activities and Entertainment

Occasional evening piano bar. For a fee: Lighthouse Beauty Center & Spa offers a welcoming and relaxing environment, ideal for rediscovering relaxation and well-being. It consists of a Turkish bath, a pagoda with tubs for enjoying aromatic and sensory baths, a gazebo for massages, a relaxation area and a beauty centre for face and body treatments. Furthermore, guests can enjoy delicious herbal teas and fresh fruit in the relaxation area after treatments. Open from May to September. Mountain bike, scooter, car and boat rental, excursion bookings (by car, off-road vehicle, sailing or motor boat with snacks on board to the nearby islands of Serpentari and Cavoli). In Porto Giunco (1 km): pedal boat, rubber dinghy rental, possibility to practice windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and sailing. Tennis court, golf course, diving centre and riding stable about 3 km away.
